  • Examining policy references/ Cabinet/ CCEA Notes from 7 Government Departments viz. Personnel & Training, Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, Pensions & Pensioner’s Welfare, Food and Public Distribution, Consumer Affairs, Fertilizer and Chemicals & Petrochemicals.

  • Examining schemes, Cabinet Notes, SFC/ EFC notes and participating in the Committee meetings of these Departments.

  • Examining performance of schemes of these Ministries/ Departments in coordination with DMEO.

  • Issues pertaining to Steering Committee on Plastic Parks and PCPIRs.

  • Work relating to Working Group on Model Fair Price Shops chaired by Member (Agriculture), NITI Aayog.

  • Work relating to Expert Group for Energy Norms for Urea units, chaired by Member (Science and Technology), NITI Aayog

  • Matters relating to Inter Ministerial Committees on subsidy fixation for P&K fertilisers under NBS and subsidy on urea produced through coal gasification.

  • Coordinating work related to the Government of India (GoI) - United Nations Sustainable Development Framework (UNSDF) 2023-27 including meetings of Joint Steering Committees co-chaired by VC, NITI Aayog & UN Resident Coordinator of India.

  • Matters relating to Indian Institute of Public Administration.

  • Coordinating all matters relating to Jharkhand and Delhi States.

  • Handling Parliament Questions, Standing Committee matters, RTI queries, CPGRAMS grievances and VIP references pertaining to food security, consumer welfare, fertilizers, chemicals and petrochemicals and other Departments within G&R Vertical.

The Governance Division deals with issues concerning the policies and programmes of Central Sector and Centrally Sponsored Schemes, their implementation and monitoring with respect to seven Central Ministries and Departments viz. Department of Fertilisers, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Department of Consumer Affairs, Department of Food and Public Distribution System, Department of Personnel and Training, Department of Pensions and Pensioners’ Welfare, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances. It also coordinates the work related to the Government of India (GoI) – United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2023-27.
